Web Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen had a wonderful year on the WPT where he was the only player to achieve last game in three of the events. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You might recall one of the biggest pots in big stakes poker history against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a huge pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Gus has earned many tv poker appearances and is considered to be one of the strongest enthusiasts around the world. While betting on net poker, another side of Hansen has emerged. Gus often competes in the 200/400 No Limit max buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen generally buys-in for the minimum of $16, 000 and plays very weak. He waits for a good hand and then pushes all-in. I accept that Hansen is an amazing poker player but not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is penniless, he has no reason to sit at the game with the min buy-in.

Playing for the minimum takes a majority of the ability out of big stack poker. Hansen is supposed to be 1 of the best poker players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy in for the full amount. I believe tv can alter our view of the real world sometimes. The greatest poker players in the world might just be guys you have will not have heard of before. Gus can be seen playing online poker on Full Tilt. He usually participates in high stakes omaha high and texas holdem. Gus Hansen has proven himself as a competition player. Can he back up his abilities in money rounds?
