Poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer declares "No further bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players attain 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s first card, you have to either make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s amount is akin to your beginning wager, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantly to the bank. After the bet is the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a sum on par with the initial bet. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The casino pony’s up chips equal to your original bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

• Equal for a pair or high card
• two to one for 2 pairs
• 3-1 for 3 of a kind
• 4-1 for a straight
• five to one for a flush
• seven to one for a full house
• twenty to one for a four of a kind
• 50-1 for a straight flush
• one hundred to one for a royal flush
