Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the far east with the wild west in an awesome game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the casino, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers bet against other players. By playing against the dealer, beginner players do not have to worry about other, more skillful players winning their moolla.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game pace, rookies should be able to take their time and strategize without having to make hasty decisions.

It is also easier to gamble on for an extended time with just a tiny amount of money since, to lose, both of your hands has to be under both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is given 7 cards face up and the croupier receives 7 cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and a two card hand must be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be better than the casino’s.
